- Found this song yesterday, and have listened to it many times since. Lyrically, it kind of applies to how I’m feeling and what’s been going on. 

In a sense, it’s both a song about loss and hope, which is what I’m dealing with. Even though a person has left doesn’t mean that they aren’t walking with you in spirit, every step of the way. Watching over you. Giving you hope.

I know this song could be interpreted more as one about a breakup, but for me it’s more about losing a person in general. It’s kind of my anthem right now. Although I’ve only lost one person, it was one person too many.

- Found this song while listening to a Phil Wickham station on Pandora. The beginning of the song sounds a bit like the beginning of “All You Need is Smiles.” But the song is catchy, and lyrically it’s always relevant. And I love the banjo at the end- it sounds like the beginning of “Divine Romance.” 

All in all, it’s a good song.

- Yes, Taylor Swift. She can describe how I feel like no other songwriter. Yeah, her lyrics aren’t the most eloquent and her singing may not be pitch-perfect, and yes, she is a bit “mainstream,” but despite all that I still have a soft spot for her songs.
